This position is responsible for directing the Health and Wellness Program and ensuring that Senior Lifestyle standards and state requirements for resident care are met. The Director of Health and Wellness will direct staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage the clinical budget.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the delivery of care to Assisted Living residents, ensuring their emotional, physical, psychological, and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.
  2. Coordinate, with the Executive Director, family/resident care conferences and serve as a liaison between residents, families, and staff. Work to ensure residents are at appropriate levels of care.
  3. Manage labor costs, supplies, and other line items within the clinical budget.
  4. Monitor documentation systems to meet regulatory timeframes for assessments and service plans. Write and review residents’ assessments, evaluations, and care plans with appropriate staff.
  5. Assess potential residents for Assisted Living level of care, including home or healthcare setting evaluations. Conduct assessments professionally and timely, including driving to locations if necessary. Schedule and conduct new resident orientations.
  6. Provide and coordinate staff training programs, including statutory or regulatory required training. Attend all required training, in-services, and staff meetings.
  7. Manage and coordinate the work of nursing and assisted living staff, including communication of resident health and safety information. Oversee staff schedules and daily assignments.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and ensuring safe practices.
  9. Ensure compliance with all state regulatory requirements, including mandatory reporting. Complete, file, and follow up on concern and incident reports.
  10. Assist with or perform mock surveys.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  12. Provide 24/7 on-call clinical support.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing a clinical team in a senior living or hospital setting.
  • LPN/LVN or RN license required.
  • Maintain CEU and other state requirements for the position.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-level tasks professionally and positively.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Energetic, passionate, with a hospitality-focused mindset.
  • Passion for serving seniors and developing teams.
  • Positive and friendly demeanor towards residents and colleagues.
  • Technologically savvy and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized with strong time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
