Qualifications

Position Summary

Responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
  2. Collect, analyze, and report on occurrence trends; develop and implement improvement plans as needed.
  3. Partner with the Administrator and team members to analyze and maintain resident and team member health and safety.
  4. Collaborate with pharmacy consultants to provide optimal pharmaceutical services.
  5. Provide clinical expertise for licensed nurses.
  6. Assist with educational presentations as assigned.
  7. Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through assessments and Service Plans, including documentation for health status changes.
  8. Oversee monthly updates and report pertinent changes.
  9. Work with department coordinators to review and discuss changes in service or medication levels.
  10. Ensure Service Plans are updated according to state regulations.
  11. Participate in community awareness and relations activities.
  12. Maintain communication with residents' families regarding care or health concerns.
  13. Notify the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
  14. Schedule clinical staff monthly.
  15. Ensure availability of adequate clinical supplies.
  16. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise LPNs, Certified Nursing Assistants, and others as assigned, ensuring high-quality resident care in accordance with organizational policies and laws.

Qualifications

  1. Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing; RN preferred.
  2. At least one year in a nursing leadership role; senior living experience preferred.
  3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) certification.
