Job summary

Raycon, Inc. is hiring a Director of Hardware to run a rapid product engine that launches 10+ new product bets annually while scaling proven performers. You will own lineup strategy, briefs, component decisions, and post-launch health, leading core categories as a senior PM.

You will manage multiple SKUs in parallel with speed and ruthless prioritization, reporting to the VP of Product. This role offers hybrid work in New York City.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in consumer hardware product.
• 2+ years managing PMs or program leads.
• Experience shipping consumer audio products at scale.
• Deep experience with OEM/JDM partners overseas.
• Track record of improving customer-facing quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Run the Product Engine: cadence of 10+ test launches per year; set gates and kill criteria.
• Scale proven winners; drive toward 4.3+ star ratings via R&D and quality.
• Create product briefs with pain points, must-win features, costs, and kill criteria.
• Lead component and architecture decisions across drivers, chipsets, batteries, mics, materials.
• Act as a player-coach; own the spec, schedule, and tradeoffs for core categories.
• Own launch readiness: EVT/DVT/PVT, and the first-90-day health dashboard.
• Coach and grow PM team and design contractors; set PM standards across Raycon.
• Foster cross-functional clarity with Engineering, ID, Ops, Marketing, CX.
