Job summary

BNY is seeking a Director, Full Stack Engineer to lead a Data and Analytics Solutions team in Boston (with consideration for Pittsburgh). You will design and deliver Java and Python microservices, shape platform architecture, and drive cloud provisioning across regions.

Expect leadership across AI-assisted tools, CI/CD, and observability to ensure scalable, secure services. The role requires deep expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud platforms, with a strong track record

Qualifications

14+ years of software development experience with enterprise-scale microservices
Experience designing and building production microservices that integrate into a larger platform
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes in production and cloud provisioning (Azure)
Proficient with CI/CD pipelines as code (GitHub, Jenkins Groovy); Harness experience preferred
Experience with observability platforms like New Relic and code quality tools like SonarQube

Responsibilities

Design and develop Java and Python microservices for an enterprise-scale platform
Collaborate with architects to evaluate trade-offs on performance, cost, and resilience
Provision and manage Azure Cloud infrastructure via Terraform; implement region-aware provisioning
Build, deploy, and operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes with service mesh
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and multi-region release patterns
Develop monitoring, alerts, and dashboards with New Relic; participate in root cause analysis
Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and leadership to align technical solutions with global strategy
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering goals
