Job summary

University of Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Director in Alumni Relations within the Medical School. The role leads engagement, stewardship, and annual giving activities across the Twin Cities, Duluth, and St. Cloud campuses.

Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, you will co-manage signature events, donor communications, and volunteer engagement while partnering with UMF teams and regional staff. A commitment to equity and inclusion is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required and 4+ years in alumni relations, annual giving, volunteer management, or higher education advancement.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proven initiative, adaptability, and ability to work across teams effectively.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with multiple priorities.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead alumni engagement, events, and operations across three campuses.
• Drive annual giving and stewardship programs with multi-channel strategies.
• Recruit, manage, and steward alumni volunteers and alumni boards.
• Communicate strategically to engage alumni and donors through various channels.
