Job summary

DSJ Global oversees the role of Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) in Atlanta, GA, leading strategic FSQA programs across all operations. This executive will ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards while driving cross-functional collaboration.

The successful candidate will manage a team of FSQA professionals, develop HACCP and FSMA-compliant documentation, and foster continuous improvement in dairy manufacturing and related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in food safety and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems (HACCP, FSMA, GFSI).
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, PCQI).
• Experience in the dairy manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute FSQA strategy aligning with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain FSQA documentation including SOPs, HACCP plans, and quality systems.
• Lead and mentor FSQA team; drive continuous improvement.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive controls.
• Design and deliver FSQA training across the organization.
