Job summary
Sysco is seeking an experienced FSQA leader to develop and direct support/evaluation programs and inspection procedures to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements across multiple facilities. You will manage FSQA execution for supplier approval, product sourcing, produced products, sanitation and regulatory interaction for the company. This role requires strong leadership and HACCP/GMP expertise, plus the ability to train staff and coordinate QA across shifts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Food Science or Biological Science from four-year college or university, Masters preferred.
5-10 years FSQA management experience in a federal food processing plant or equivalent, with R&D or production-operations exposure.
SQF Practitioner or equivalent GFSI scheme experience.
Responsibilities
Develop, lead, direct, update, reassessment, verification and periodic validation of FSQA programs including HACCP, SSOP, GMPs, Approved Supplier Program, Pest Control and Plant Sanitation.
Direct Employee Training of FSQA Programs, Policies, and Procedures.
Direct Recall and Traceability Programs including Mock Recalls.
Assist with product evaluations, plant visits, and supplier/customer communication as needed.
Assist during emergencies as determined by plant leadership.
