Job summary

KIPP Atlanta Schools is seeking a Director of Financial Planning + Analysis to lead all daily financial planning and analysis. You will report to the CFO, supervise the Finance team, and collaborate with school leaders to ensure accurate budgeting across multiple funds and strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has a finance or accounting degree, 7+ years in finance with leadership experience, and strong analytical skills. Nonprofit experience and Vena knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 7+ years in finance or accounting with 3+ years supervision; nonprofit experience preferred.
• Tech-savvy with data-driven financial reporting; knowledge of Vena desired.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; ability to navigate complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, set, direct, and execute the annual budgeting strategy for KIPP Atlanta Schools.
• Lead data-driven analysis and KPI tracking to improve systems that support leadership.
• Partner with CFO/Controller in leading the finance function and annual plans; review KPIs and course corrections.
• Designs and executes treasury management strategy and internal controls across entities.
• Lead team development with goals, feedback, and professional growth; manage regular team meetings.
• Oversee monthly budget-to-actual analyses for the $125MM budget; drive forecast process and reporting to Finance Committee.
• Manage major federal grant reimbursements and compliance across district partnerships.
