Job summary

KIPP Baltimore is seeking a strategic Director of Finance & Administration to lead all financial functions and business operations. The role reports to the COO and directly oversees HR initiatives, including payroll and benefits, while guiding school and regional leaders with robust financial analysis.

The position requires a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, with a track record of cross-functional leadership in nonprofit education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPA, SHRM-CP, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Lead HR initiatives and manage the Regional HR Specialist role.
• Develop HR policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and perform analytics.
• Ensure audits are prepared and successful.
