Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Jordan & White, LLC, a small estate planning, probate, and real estate law firm on the North Shore, seeks a warm, people‑focused receptionist to be the first face and voice of the firm in Danvers.
You will welcome clients, handle meetings and signings, assist the remote paralegal team, manage calls, and keep the office running with a proactive, confidential approach. This role grows with us as we add attorneys.
Jordan & White, LLC is a small estate planning, probate, and real estate law firm on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Our roots go back to 1938.
Our clients come to us at some of the biggest moments of their lives. A wedding. A new baby. A move to the next stage of life. The loss of a spouse. We want each of them to feel cared for the moment they walk in.
We practice what we call unreasonable hospitality, an idea from Will Guidara's book of the same name. We go past what anyone expects. We remember birthdays and anniversaries. We have cupcakes ready when a client arrives on a special day. We send flowers when a client suffers a loss. We charge fixed fees, so clients never feel a clock running when they call.
Our work is helping people plan for a great life. We want the people who do this work to live one too.
We are also a team that looks out for one another. We are small and warm, and we take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.
This is not a typical receptionist job.
You are the first face and first voice of our firm. You are the person clients meet before they meet an attorney, and the person they remember.
Most days, you will be the only team member in the Danvers office. Our paralegal team works remotely, so you are the physical heart of the firm. You handle what only someone in the room can handle: welcoming people, preparing signings, printing, scanning, and keeping the office ready.
Some clients arrive excited. Some arrive anxious. Some arrive grieving. Your job is to meet each one where they are.
This role will grow as we grow. We plan to add attorneys over the next year, and we will shape your role with you.
We hire for character first and train for skills. We can teach you our systems. We cannot teach you to care.
You are likely a fit if you:
This job is probably not for you if you prefer to wait for instructions, want a quiet desk job, or see the front desk as a stop on the way to something else. We say that with respect. We want you to love your work, too.
We want to be straightforward about benefits. We do not currently offer health insurance. We are working on adding a retirement plan match.
Jordan & White, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
