Job Title: Director of Financial Reporting

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Financial Reporting to lead and oversee the preparation, accuracy, and compliance of all financial statements and reports. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring our financial reporting aligns with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction or manufacturing accounting, an in-depth understanding of cost accounting, and proven success in managing a financial reporting team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Oversee internal and external reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial data.
• Manage the preparation of reports for internal stakeholders, banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and internal controls.
• Support the CFO in strategic planning, financial modeling, and budgeting processes.
• Coordinate external audits, including managing relationships with auditors and ensuring timely audit completion.
• Lead the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools.
• Maintain and document financial reporting procedures, ensuring consistency and best practices.
• Analyze and interpret financial results to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of accountants and financial analysts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial controls.
• Strong understanding of WIP (Work in Progress) schedules and job costing methodologies.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint, Sage, Oracle, or SAP) is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
