Job summary

University of Akron in Ohio seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice/Instruction (Non-Tenure Track) and Director to teach undergraduate courses in financial literacy, planning, retirement, estate, and capstone work. The role includes directing the financial planning program and advising student clubs.

Qualified candidates will hold a master’s or terminal degree with at least five years in financial planning or wealth management, and may be CFP certified or able to become certified

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or terminal degree with a minimum of five (5) years’ working or teaching experience in financial planning, retirement planning, or wealth management.
• Commitment to AACSB faculty classifications and continued scholarship.
• Willingness to serve as Director of the financial planning program and advise student organizations.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in financial literacy, financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and capstone course.
• Possibly teach graduate courses based on qualifications and university approval.
• Serve as Director of the financial planning program and advise student organizations.
