About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead M&A and transaction-focused planning and reporting initiatives. This is a high-impact, senior-level role that will be responsible for driving strategic insight, financial rigor, and M&A. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented operator who also understands the big picture, can put in the time, and knows how to build and tell the story behind the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Transflo’s M&A FP&A efforts, including detailed financial modeling, scenario analysis, KPI dashboards, and due diligence support
- Develop investor-grade presentations and materials for board meetings, investment bankers, and prospective buyers
- Own long-range planning and forecasting aligned with growth and exit scenarios
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to refine key metrics and enhance business visibility
- Identify and validate EBITDA add-backs, revenue quality indicators, and other drivers of valuation
- Lead the company’s annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, with a focus on strategic outcomes and investor expectations
- Build and optimize planning infrastructure, including systems, tools, and outputs that support M&A execution
What We’re Looking For
- Highly self-motivated and fast-learning individual who can ramp up quickly and deliver value early
- Demonstrated success in one or more company exits (e.g., M&A, IPO, PE recap, strategic acquisition)
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of translating complex data into executive-level insights
- Senior-level FP&A experience in a B2B SaaS environment with recurring revenue models
- Strong balance of detail orientation and strategic thinking—able to manage the numbers and articulate the story behind them
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and put in the time when it counts
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate development roles
- Prior experience supporting M&A or capital events in private equity-backed environments
- Strong knowledge of SaaS metrics, including ARR, net retention, LTV/CAC, and churn
- Demonstrated ability to build and present financial models and investor-ready materials
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influence skills with C-level stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Planful, NetSuite, and Salesforce is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth, and deadline-driven environment
