Job summary

CFS in Boston, MA is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning in a large nonprofit environment. You will partner with the CFO and executive leadership to shape KPI reporting and strategic initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years FP&A experience in nonprofits, strong Excel modeling, endowment accounting familiarity, and proven leadership to coach staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and planning experience.
• Experience in mid-to-large nonprofit organizations.
• Familiarity with endowment accounting and restricted/unrestricted funds.
• Proven ability to present to boards and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating and capital budgeting, rolling forecasts and multi-year planning.
• Develop complex financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases.
• Analyze performance against budget to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop KPIs, benchmarking, and reporting tools for decision-making.
• Evaluate financial impact of new programs, exhibitions, and investments.
• Serve as trusted advisor to CFO and Board committees while leading FP&A staff.
