Job summary

The role reports to the Associate VP of Financial Operations and supervises managers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient processes. The position manages year-end close, appropriation and allotment management, cash management, internal controls, and audit coordination.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, governmental accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze complex financial information, exercise sound judgment, and resolve operational issues.
• Ability to utilize financial management systems, reporting tools, and dashboards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
• Progressively responsible experience in accounting, financial management, and fiscal operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting and financial reporting.
• Coordinate year-end close, grant accounting, payroll certifications, and reconciliations.
• Lead audit coordination and respond to requests for Financial Aid audits.
• Support ERP system implementation and develop financial dashboards for monitoring.
