KLR Executive Search group is proud to partner with Bluedrop Water (“Bluedrop” www.bluedropwater.com”) to recruit their new Director of Accounting & Finance. Bluedrop is a manufacturing company providing services for hospitality and foodservice industries, based in South Easton, MA, specializing in comprehensive water filtration solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, and office environments. Founded in 2010, Bluedrop offers a range of services and products designed to improve water quality, enhance system efficiency, and promote sustainability.

Reporting to Ownership, the newly created Director of Accounting & Finance opportunity offers an entrepreneurial financial leader the chance to build and shape the accounting and finance function from the ground up. As an individual contributor, this hands-on leader will be closely involved in the business, serving as a trusted advisor to ownership while bringing best practices to support ongoing growth. The right individual will be proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to evaluate evolving business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive systems and data enhancements. With the company experiencing significant expansion, this leader will play a key role in developing long-term financial strategy and building a scalable financial infrastructure to support the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements to support accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
• Maintain the fixed asset ledger, ensure accurate capitalization of assets, and manage monthly depreciation schedules in compliance with accounting standards.
• Track and reconcile recurring revenue streams, ensuring proper revenue recognition and assisting in forecasting subscription and service-based income.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems to analyze product and service profitability.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Bluedrop's growth objectives, ensuring long-term financial health.
• Oversee inventory accounting and collaborate with operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation and control.
• Work with procurement teams to analyze supplier costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements while providing analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making with Ownership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience), with at least ten years of hands-on finance and accounting management experience, including serving as the leading expert on all financial matters. Advanced degree or certifications preferred.
• Experience with automated financial reporting systems and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks or similar platforms; familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot is also preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software implementations and data mapping to optimize financial systems and reporting accuracy.
• Understanding of semi-finished goods, manufacturing, and multiple revenue streams preferred.
