Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Director of Finance for an upscale Southwest Florida hospitality property. The role leads all finance functions, partners with executives, and drives profitability and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have extensive hospitality finance experience, strong budgeting/forecasting, and leadership skills to oversee multiple revenue streams and a team of accounting professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive hospitality finance experience.
• 3+ years in a Director of Finance, Assistant Director of Finance, Controller, or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience in full-service hotels, luxury resorts, or complex hospitality operations.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience overseeing multiple revenue-generating departments.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with hospitality accounting systems.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all property accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
• Monitor departmental profitability, labor expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
• Partner with executive leadership and department heads to identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense management.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Oversee audits, financial reconciliations, and ownership reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to support long-term business objectives.
