Responsibilities

As the Permanent Director of Finance, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Overseeing the financial health of the organization by developing and implementing sound financial strategies, maintaining financial controls, and making key decisions to improve profitability and long-term success.
• Preparing and managing the company’s budget, ensuring all departments adhere to their financial plans, and conducting regular budget reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Managing all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Overseeing cash flow management, ensuring sufficient funds are available for achieving business objectives and supporting growth initiatives.
• Managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all employees, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Utilizing QuickBooks Online for all financial operations, including invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Collaborating with other department heads to align financial management with short and long-term operational strategies and objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Director of Finance role should possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the Accounting + Finance industry.
• Proven experience with budget development and oversight, financial reporting, cash flow management, and payroll.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other financial management software.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting processes.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear terms to non-financial personnel.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
