AES Corporation seeks a Director of Field Operations to oversee the safe, reliable operation of its renewable energy portfolio across the Eastern United States and Puerto Rico. The role requires strong leadership, financial stewardship, and a drive for operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in energy operations, a BS in engineering, and capability to manage multi-site teams, with up to 30% travel and remote work in EST zones.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience leading renewable energy operations or related technical functions.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience leading multi-site operations teams in geographically dispersed environments.
• Ability to interpret equipment and facility schematics.
• Familiarity with SCADA, DAS, remote monitoring systems; safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and effective solar, BESS, and wind field operations across the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico.
• Oversee O&M activities across U.S. sites with third-party providers.
• Develop strategies to optimize costs while ensuring safety and performance.
• Partner with Asset Management, Finance, and Commercial teams to maximize asset performance.
• Provide oversight for fleet availability, reliability, safety, and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement via data analytics and tech advancements.
