Job summary

The George Washington University is looking for a Director of Full-Time Faculty Personnel Administration to coordinate the life cycle of GW's full-time faculty. You will collaborate with schools, colleges, and HR teams to ensure accurate appointment processing, merit reviews, and timely payroll actions.

Based at GW's Foggy Bottom Campus, the role requires leadership in system improvements, policy adherence, and clear communication with stakeholders to meet annual deadlines and support faculty

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree or higher plus 4 years.
• Degree must be conferred by the start date; substitutions allowed for education/training and experience.
• Experience in higher education and familiarity with faculty HR processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer the life cycle of full-time faculty, including appointment letters and data entry into Banner.
• Lead projects for GW's Elements System and related HRIS improvement efforts.
• Assist in merit allocation, gather data, and generate reports for schools to review.
• Oversee workforce actions: changes of status, compensation, relocations, and payroll corrections.
• Maintain records on appointments, reappointments, tenure, promotions, and sabbatical eligibility.
