O'Neill Healthcare in Fairview Park, Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the Maintenance Department, ensuring facilities run efficiently with high quality systems and personnel.

The role oversees safety, Life Safety Code compliance, and directs repairs across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and related trades, while coordinating staff schedules. We offer competitive benefits and a family‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Director with a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility preferred.
• Working understanding of electrical, HVAC, and various mechanical and architectural systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Ensures the facility remains in compliance with all federal, state and local Life Safety Code regulations.
• Reviews the department's policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions for revisions and improvements.
• Ensures maintenance staff are trained on safety policies and procedures and monitors compliance.
• Directs preventive and unplanned maintenance across facilities including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Ensures Fire Safety program compliance with Life Safety Code and Health Care Facilities Code; conducts drills and safety training.
• Schedules department work hours, vacations and holiday coverage to expedite work.
