Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facility operations and risk management, preferably in higher education, healthcare or senior living with at least 3 years at a leadership level.
• Strong knowledge of institutional HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with budgeting, maintenance software, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with emergency evacuation procedures if needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain a comprehensive Plant Maintenance program that reduces risk and minimizes corrective maintenance costs.
• Supervise maintenance, transportation and safety team members, including scheduling, on-call rotation, training, and performance management.
• Develop and oversee a computer-based work order management system, establishing priorities to ensure efficient completion of work.
• Partner with administration and compliance staff to ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Oversee campus grounds and exterior operations, including landscaping, snow and ice removal, parking areas, roadways, sidewalks, and exterior lighting.
• Develop and administer operating budgets for capital repairs, plant management, and utilities; monitor and analyze budgetary variances.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and 24/7 on-call maintenance coverage.
• Prepare operational and financial reports and participate in organizational committees.
