Hilton Ocala is one of four Meyer Jabara properties in Florida. Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms for memorable occasions, as well as a tented outdoor event space. We are seeking a dedicated Director of Facilities Maintenance to lead our engineering team in maintaining the property and ensuring continuous operations.

What You’ll Do:

1. Develop, implement, and oversee all emergency programs; ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
2. Conduct inspections and drills; ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
3. Train staff and maintain accurate records to promote a safe environment for guests, employees, and assets.
4. Coordinate renovation bids, define project scope and costs, and oversee contractors to ensure quality work at minimal costs.
5. Manage the department’s budget, including capital expenditures, forecasts, and objectives to maintain a first-class property.
6. Manage maintenance programs and negotiate contracts for hotel, grounds, and equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
7. Perform life safety training for all hotel team members.
8. Handle special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

1. Minimum of 5 years of management experience in facilities or maintenance.
2. Fluent in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
3. High school diploma or equivalent; degree in building maintenance, technology, or related field is desirable.
4. Extensive knowledge of hand and carpentry tools.
5. Ability to perform basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
