Job summary

Casino Reinvestment Development Authority in Atlantic City, NJ, seeks a Director of Facilities Management to serve as the Authority’s principal representative for the physical management and long-term stewardship of Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center.

You will lead the facilities management company, prioritize capital improvements, ensure safety and accessibility, coordinate with architects, engineers, and regulators, and report to the Executive Director and governing body.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management and capital projects.
• Experience overseeing large-scale capital projects from planning through construction.
• Experience with third-party facilities or property management preferred.
• Experience with large public/institutional/hospitality/convention facilities preferred.
• Strong budgeting, cost estimating, project scheduling, and contract management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to brief executive leadership and governing bodies.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, initiative, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance of the Authority’s facilities management company in maintenance and operation.
• Develop, prioritize, and oversee the capital improvement program, including renovations and building systems.
• Identify facility conditions, safety concerns, and long-term capital needs and set priorities.
• Manage large and complex capital projects through planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and completion.
• Coordinate permits, historic preservation requirements, building codes, and regulatory requirements for boardwalk properties.
• Ensure projects are delivered within budgets and schedules and meet objectives.
• Monitor the facilities management company’s performance and contractual compliance.
• Oversee improvements to public spaces, entrances, restrooms, signage, accessibility, and finishes.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, reports, and presentations for leadership and committees.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, IT and other departments as appropriate.
• Oversee selection and management of architects, engineers, CM firms, and contractors.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies regarding permits and inspections.
• Manage studies and due diligence initiatives as directed.
