Sunrise Senior Living in Olympia Fields, IL, seeks a Director of Facilities to lead operations in our full-service communities, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will oversee maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and life safety systems, manage budgets and vendors, and train the facilities team. Flexibility for after-hours emergencies is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years facilities experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, codes).
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety regulations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and security operations.
• Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• Lead preventative maintenance and emergency response efforts.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and OSHA regulations.
• Oversee suite readiness for move-ins and community first impressions.
• Manage vendor relationships and capital improvement projects.
• Train team members on emergency protocols and safety procedures.
• Monitor work order systems to ensure timely resolution.
• Manage department budget, labor, and expense controls.
• Recruit, train, and develop facilities team members.
