Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, seeks an experienced leader to drive externalization of analytical deliverables for large mole­cule programs. You will guide a ~10–12 person team across biologics, ADC, and/or vaccines, interfacing with Process, QA, and Manufacturing to optimize external partnerships.

You will develop talent, oversee method transfers to external QC labs, and shape strategy to advance pipeline assets toward commercialization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD or master/bachelor degrees with extensive experience in large molecule CMC.
• Experience leading multi-site analytical development and external partners.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory guidelines, and HA expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–12 scientists and manage a broad biologics portfolio.
• Drive externalization strategies with internal stakeholders and partners.
• Ensure high-quality documentation and transfer methods to QC labs.
• Oversee analytics deliverables for drug substance and drug product at external partners.
• Collaborate with Process, QA, and Manufacturing to optimize external networks.
• Develop talent and drive data-driven decisions across programs.
