Job summary

80Twenty LLC partnered with a unique nonprofit research institute to recruit a Program Manager / Director – Events & Communications. This role builds the external presence and internal culture from the ground up, owning events and communications strategy.

You design and run events end-to-end, manage vendors and budgets, own the website and social channels, and oversee contractors. The role is onsite in a fast-moving, startup-like environment with evolving priorities.

Qualifications

• Design and run high-quality events end-to-end.
• Shape external communications strategy across channels.
• Coordinate across functions to support startup-like growth.
• Build and maintain event playbooks and vendor networks.
• Collaborate with researchers and technical staff to earn trust.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events from concept to delivery, including logistics.
• Own the website, blog, and social channels, with editorial input.
• Manage external contractors (writers, designers, PR) as needed.
• Support cross-functional needs as the organization scales.
