Job summary

INSPIRE seeks a Director of Event Technology to lead the AV team at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, VA. You will oversee daily setup and striking of equipment, coordinate with hotel staff and freelancers, and drive exceptional service while supporting revenue goals for the location.

You bring 3+ years as an AV director or supervisor and strong expertise in event technology, with a hospitality or event production background and a team-oriented, customer-first mindset aligned with INSPIRE values.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as an audio-visual director or supervisor.
• 3 years as a primary technology expert for events.
• Sales or customer service experience in hospitality or event production.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for INSPIRE to clients and hotel management.
• Interact with hotel staff to maintain mutually beneficial relationships for sales and service expectations.
• Manage daily setup and striking of audio-visual equipment for meetings and major corporate events.
• Collaborate with freelancers to ensure events are prepared on time.
• Handle monthly billing and invoicing to ensure timely payments.
• Manage inventory control to track equipment at all times.
