Job summary

INSPIRE is seeking a Director of Event Technology to lead AV operations at The Renaissance Montgomery in Montgomery, AL. You will manage a team of full-time and part-time staff, coordinate with hotel management and clients, and ensure events run smoothly from setup through invoicing.

The role requires at least 3 years as an AV director or supervisor, proven tech leadership for events, and experience in hospitality or event production sales or service.

• 3 years of experience working as an audio-visual director or supervisor.
• 3 years of experience as the primary technology expert for various events.
• Sales or customer service experience in hospitality or event production.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact for INSPIRE to clients and hotel management.
• Interact with hotel staff to maintain mutually beneficial relationships for sales and service.
• Manage daily setup and striking of audio-visual equipment for meetings and major events.
• Collaborate with freelancers to ensure events are prepared on time.
• Handle monthly billing and invoicing to ensure timely payments.
• Manage inventory control to track equipment at all times.

We are seeking a Director of Event Technology to work at The Renaissance Montgomery in Montgomery, AL.

The Director of Event Technology (DET) is responsible for achieving the revenue and profitability goals of an assigned location(s). This position ensures the team delivers exceptional customer service while cultivating and maintaining relationships with key venue personnel to enhance the overall business relationship with the venue. The DET promotes high performance, accountability and continuous improvement in the team and fosters a collaborative environment that values learning and a commitment to INSPIRE Values. This role will manage Full-time and Part-time sales and operational team members as the venue and business levels justify.

What you would do:

• Manage daily setup and striking of audio-visual equipment for meetings and major corporate events
• Routinely interact and collaborate with freelancers to ensure events are prepared in a timely fashion

• Manage inventory control to ensure equipment is tracked and accounted for at all times

What your background might be:

• 3 years of experience working as an audio-visual director or supervisor
• 3 years of experience as a primary technology expert for various events
• Sales or customer service experience in hospitality or event production
