Job summary

San Diego State University Research Foundation seeks a Director of Evaluation Services to lead the Evaluation Services team in a hybrid, 40-hour-week role in San Diego, CA. The director will supervise 10+ staff, shape evaluation infrastructure, and coordinate data-driven reporting for multiple Academy programs.

The role emphasizes data equity, methodological rigor, and collaboration with program managers and external partners, with occasional travel and annual funding-based assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and relevant work experience.
• 8 years of progressively responsible experience in an office or administrative environment.
• Preferred: experience with CalEval, SPSS, Qualtrics, and learning management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee evaluation management for all Academy programs and strategic planning.
• Provide personnel management and supervision for direct reports.
• Develop and monitor evaluation protocols, data collection, and analysis processes.
• Coordinate with partners and program managers to create evaluation plans and reports.
• Travel to Riverside and San Diego for on-site activities when required.
