Valley Health in Winchester, VA seeks a Director of Environmental Services to lead housekeeping, infection prevention support, waste management and linen services. You will drive strategic initiatives, optimize operations, and ensure patient, visitor, and staff safety while delivering high-quality care.

The role requires 7+ years of progressive leadership in EVS, a bachelor's in a related field, and strong regulatory/compliance know-how.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental services, preferably in healthcare.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience managing EVS operations for complex facilities and strong regulatory/compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: develop and execute EVS plans aligned with patient safety priorities.
• Operations management: oversee housekeeping, linen, transport, and waste services with staffing and metrics.
• Infection prevention & safety: ensure compliance with cleaning and disinfection protocols.
• Regulatory compliance & quality: maintain CMS, OSHA, EPA standards and audit readiness.
• Financial management: manage budget, cost controls, and vendor contracts.
• Customer experience & talent management: drive service excellence and staff development.
