Portland Water District seeks an experienced leader to direct its Environmental Services Department, including Laboratory Services, Source Protection, and Lake Security Programs. The role shapes planning, budgeting, and strategic direction to ensure accurate monitoring and reporting for water and environmental operations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of practical experience with environmental laws and regulations ( Clean Water Act / Safe Drinking Water Act ).
• Experience supervising technical staff and directing data collection, interpretation and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee monitoring and reporting of environmental data for water and wastewater operations.
• Direct Watershed Control Program for Sebago Lake and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with Operations supervisors to provide technical environmental and emergency planning input.
• Manage outreach to agencies, municipalities, and the public regarding environmental activities.
• Present District positions and projects to regulators, officials, and citizen groups.
