Director of Enterprise Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Enterprise Operations to serve as a senior execution leader responsible for building and managing enterprise project management capabilities, technology execution, IT operations, and complex cross-functional initiatives.

This is a hands‑on operating and technical leadership role for an individual who can work effectively across senior leadership, technology teams, engineering resources, vendors, data partners, construction and facilities specialists, and operational teams. The Director will be responsible for driving complex initiatives from strategy and definition through implementation, deployment, and adoption.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional project leadership, vendor management, business judgment, and communication skills. This individual will own outcomes while leveraging internal teams, external providers, and specialized resources to execute complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Project Management

• Build and maintain a disciplined enterprise project management framework that provides clear ownership, accountability, visibility, and execution without unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Maintain a centralized portfolio of strategic and operational projects, including priorities, sponsors, owners, scope, budgets, schedules, dependencies, risks, and key decisions.
• Translate strategic objectives into practical project plans, milestones, deliverables, decision points, and definitions of success.
• Personally lead high-priority cross-functional initiatives while developing internal teams and project leaders.
• Establish consistent processes for issue management, risk management, dependency tracking, change management, and executive reporting.
• Build and manage the internal and external resources required to support projects across technology, operations, facilities, and capital initiatives.
• Provide concise executive reporting on project quality, timelines, budgets, risks, and decisions requiring leadership attention.

Technology & Platform Execution

• Lead the execution of enterprise technology platforms, business systems, data initiatives, workflow automation, and related technology programs.
• Drive initiatives from requirements gathering and system design through development, testing, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with business, finance, legal, operations, and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical system specifications, workflows, data structures, and controls.
• Coordinate technical resources across data architecture, integrations, reporting, document management, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate vendor assumptions, technical claims, delivery schedules, dependencies, and implementation plans.
• Ensure technology initiatives are delivered as integrated solutions rather than disconnected systems or vendor workstreams.
• Develop training, documentation, processes, and adoption strategies to ensure new systems are effectively utilized.

IT Operations & Technology Management

• Serve as a senior internal technology leader and escalation point for IT operations, while leveraging outsourced providers and specialized technology partners.
• Oversee day-to-day technology services, including user access, devices, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, file‑sharing systems, business applications, and technology support.
• Manage managed service providers, cybersecurity vendors, software providers, and implementation partners.
• Establish clear service expectations, escalation procedures, performance standards, and accountability for technology vendors.
• Oversee technology onboarding and offboarding, identity and access management, device and application inventories, software licenses, permissions, renewals, and technology costs.
• Establish reliable technology support processes and identify recurring issues, redundant systems, technology gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute a long‑term technology roadmap covering architecture, cybersecurity, vendor strategy, staffing, business continuity, support standards, and technology budgeting.

Enterprise Technology & Infrastructure Projects

• Lead major technology installations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects across offices, facilities, and other operating environments.
• Translate business and user requirements into technical scopes covering networks, Wi‑Fi, audio/visual systems, conferencing technology, security systems, low‑voltage infrastructure, smart‑building technology, and related solutions.
• Select, coordinate, and manage engineers, integrators, consultants, and specialized technical providers.
• Review technical designs, project assumptions, pricing, implementation plans, and support models.
• Manage testing, implementation, documentation, acceptance, and operational handoff.
• Establish technology standards and reference architectures that improve reliability, security, interoperability, and lifecycle management.

Strategic & Operational Project Leadership

• Apply enterprise project management disciplines to major operational, facilities, capital, and technology initiatives.
• Establish project ownership, scope, budget, schedule, decision‑making processes, and reporting requirements for material projects.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external specialists, including project managers, engineers, architects, construction managers, consultants, and other subject‑matter experts.
• Partner with Procurement and Finance on vendor selection, commercial terms, project budgets, approvals, and payment controls.
• Ensure projects remain aligned with strategic objectives while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and changes.

Vendor Management & Organizational Adoption

• Hold internal teams and external vendors accountable for completed outcomes rather than activity alone.
• Establish clear scopes of work, deliverables, service levels, testing standards, support responsibilities, and escalation procedures.
• Evaluate vendor performance and address delivery, quality, cost, and timeline issues.
• Identify trade‑offs and risks early and provide clear recommendations to leadership.
• Drive decisions to resolution and ensure appropriate follow‑through.
• Document systems, processes, and operating procedures to create repeatable and scalable organizational knowledge.
• Communicate project status with clarity and precision, including progress, blockers, changes, risks, and decisions required.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in technical program management, enterprise operations, systems engineering, platform implementation, technology operations, product operations, data platform delivery, fintech implementation, or a related field.
• Strong technical foundation in engineering, systems engineering, computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent technical experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives involving multiple systems, data sources, business users, vendors, and technical partners.
• Strong practical understanding of systems architecture, integrations, data flows, workflow automation, networks, identity and access management, cybersecurity considerations, and technical delivery risks.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements, implementation plans, budgets, support models, and adoption strategies.
• Proven ability to manage and challenge outsourced vendors and technical service providers.
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage dependencies, risks, budgets, timelines, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise executive updates and decision materials.
• Strong judgment, ownership, discretion, and ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on approach with willingness to develop requirements, build project trackers, test workflows, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and close operational gaps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in private markets, investment management, financial services, fintech, wealth management, family office, or related industries.
• Experience with investment workflow platforms, CRM systems, data platforms, document management systems, portfolio monitoring, reporting platforms, or private‑market technology.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint management, email security, file‑sharing controls, MSP oversight, and cybersecurity providers.
• Experience with cloud and data technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, APIs, data pipelines, structured and unstructured data, document intelligence, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience managing network, AV, conferencing, low‑voltage, security, smart‑building, or smart‑home technology providers.
• Experience coordinating capital, construction, facilities, or infrastructure projects through external project managers, engineers, consultants, or construction specialists.
• Relevant certifications in program management, cloud technology, data, cybersecurity, systems architecture, Microsoft technologies, or product management are a plus.
