A dynamic technology firm is seeking a Director of Enterprise Application Integration and Engineering with a strong development background to lead software teams. Responsibilities include overseeing custom application development and managing EDI efforts. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years in application development and a background in management. This hybrid role requires excellent leadership and technical skills, making a significant impact on technology modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Application Development.
• 5+ years of management experience.
• Experience leading Application Engineering and Integration services teams, including EDI.
• 5+ years of management experience.

• Knowledge of UI/UX front-end frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Ability to use major RDBMS like MySQL or PostgreSQL or SQL Server and any form of NoSQL like Mongo or Couchbase.
• Knowledge of modern project life cycle methodology (Lean, RUP, Agile), service life cycle (SLC), release and change management.
• Knowledge of Java, .NET or other relevant core development languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead all efforts in Application Engineering and Integration Services.
• Mentor, coach, and develop Managers and Engineers.
• Assure sound operation and delivery of service.
• Assist with identifying gaps in current capabilities and provide clear directions to the teams in managing the current while building the solutions for the future.
• Assist the upper management by providing inputs for technology modernization strategies.
• Identify standards of code for “cross-pollination” to other projects.
• Oversee development of proposals and prototypes.
• Work closely with operation teams to ensure sound operation and delivery of service.
• Budget and track expenses regularly.
• Work directly with clients to integrate and support products.
• Work with leadership team to plan future R&D projects.
• Investigate new technologies, creating prototypes for business teams.
• Work with Account Managers and Business team on responses to client RFPs and integration requests.
• Determine new features with appropriate and effective design.
• Work with direct reports to build technical strategy and roadmaps.

Director of Enterprise Application Integration and Engineering

Title: Director of Application Development
Compensation: Great Base salary + Strong Bonus + Excellent benefits
Location: Hybrid Role - 4 days in office / Smyrna, TN (Suburb of Nashville)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director or Sr. Manager with a strong development and management background to lead and manage the leadership/managers over multiple software teams. Those managers’ teams are responsible for a large number of Custom applications, API Development, and Integrations/EDI to numerous partners, as well as ERP systems. This person will resolve complex software problems and provide strategic vision and leadership to maintain roadmaps, priorities, and timelines.

• Will implement and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (v6.X+), Sterling File Gateway, Control Center in high-volume environments.
• Prefer strong familiarity with Sterling adaptors (FTP/S, HTTP/S, AS2, MQ, ODBC/JDBC).
