Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to lead the development of vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) and contribute to CNCF upstream community. This role defines the product vision while driving strategic investments in the upstream Kubernetes ecosystem.

You will build and mentor a world-class engineering organization, own end-to-end SDLC for VKS, ensure production-grade reliability and security for enterprise customers, and coordinate with architects and product management to

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership at scale with managers of managers.
• 7+ years delivering enterprise software for Kubernetes/cloud.
• Ability to translate business goals into an engineering roadmap.
• Experience recruiting, mentoring and retaining top technical talent.
• Bachelor or higher with extensive management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams focused on VKS and integrations with vSphere, NSX, vSAN.
• Define and execute Broadcom’s upstream contribution roadmap with CNCF SIGs.
• Own end-to-end SDLC for VKS including reliability, security and day-2 ops.
• Collaborate across Architects, PM, Program Mgmt to align roadmaps.
• Advocate Broadcom in the CNCF ecosystem.
