Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in NPD, sustaining engineering, and product cost out within electro mechanical organizations.
• Demonstrated success leading change, building technology roadmaps, and launching products that drive business growth.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others in a cross-functional, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all engineering activities across NPD, sustaining, systems, and technology development.
• Partner with Product Management, Quality, Technical Support, Sales & Marketing, and Operations to define requirements.
• Define and execute the product and technology roadmap for AFS in collaboration with Business Unit General Manager and other department leaders.
• Lead technical due diligence and capability assessments for product acquisitions, partnerships, and internal development programs to support growth strategies across AFS.
• Drive engineering change management to transition NPD and sustaining teams to agile, growth-oriented development models.
• Establish and standardize engineering processes, governance, and development frameworks for rapid adaptation to market demands.
• Design engineering organizational structure, role definitions, and talent strategy, including succession planning and targeted hiring.
• Work with pre- and post-sales technical teams to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions and resolve issues affecting adoption and performance.
• Represent AFS as a senior technical authority in meetings with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
