Job summary

Hilton Austin Airport, managed by Prospera Hospitality, seeks a Director of Engineering to lead engineering and maintenance across the property. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems, drive preventive maintenance, and guide capital-improvement initiatives in a hospitality setting.

Lead a team, coordinate with the General Manager and regional leadership, and uphold brand standards while delivering outstanding guest experience and team member development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• Experience as Director/Assistant Director/Chief Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of hotel mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs and capital projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and building compliance standards.
• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Occasional travel to other Prospera locations.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction to engineering and maintenance teams.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop engineering personnel.
• Establish performance expectations and development plans.
• Foster a culture of safety, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, life safety).
• Ensure preventive maintenance programs are implemented and documented.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility performance and asset longevity.
• Support capital planning and prioritization with General Managers.
