Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Director of Engineering for Commerce to own end-to-end platform reliability and scalability across catalog, pricing, promotions, payments, and checkout.

You will lead multiple engineering teams, define the technical roadmap, and partner with product, data, and business leaders to drive growth, conversion, and customer trust in a fast-growing health-tech subscription business.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading multiple teams in high-growth environments.
• Experience in health tech, e-commerce, or subscription platforms.
• Strong knowledge of modern web and service architectures (Node.js, GraphQL, React, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Experience integrating third-party data sources, APIs, and device platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of engineers.
• Own engineering DRI for Commerce across catalog, pricing, promotions, payments, and checkout.
• Define and deliver the engineering roadmap with product and design.
• Scale architecture and systems for long-term growth and performance.
• Partner with data and analytics teams to improve pricing, promotion, and checkout experiences.
