Job summary

Enexor BioEnergy, a climate-tech company near Nashville, TN, is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead and scale its multidisciplinary engineering team in delivering next‑generation waste‑to‑energy and carbon capture systems.

You will own the engineering organization, collaborating with product development, fabrication, and field deployment to move ideas from concept to world-changing solutions. A strong hardware background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with deep hardware/system experience.
• 10+ years engineering experience, 5+ in technical leadership or management.
• Proven success with complex mechanical or thermal systems in energy or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, controls).
• Drive end-to-end product development from concept to CAD, DFM, fabrication, and commissioning.
• Build scalable engineering processes for rapid prototyping and reliable deployment.
• Own technical architecture decisions and cross-functional integration across subsystems.
• Guide trade-offs with first-principles thinking and cost-performance analysis.
• Collaborate with CEO and exec team on strategy, resources, and hiring.
• Foster ownership, urgency, and innovation in engineering output.
