dynamism in New York is looking for a Director of Engineering, Product to lead a small but high-impact team building our city infrastructure platform. You will stay hands-on in code while guiding priorities with the founder and connecting delivery to real-world outcomes.

You will own incidents, tech debt decisions, hiring standards, and collaborate with customer success to turn deployment lessons into better software.

Qualifications

• Led engineers in a small or scaling product company.
• Continue writing, reviewing, testing, and debugging production code.
• Built structure that helps while keeping a team close to users.
• Willing to work in New York in person 4 days per week.
• Able to align product delivery with customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and release standards.
• Build and review frontend, backend, and data changes.
• Own incidents and technical debt decisions.
• Collaborate with customer success to turn deployment lessons into improvements.
• Decide when to experiment and how to validate outcomes.
