Job summary

Paxos is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Assets & Issuance engineering organization, shaping architecture, expanding the team, and driving high‑stakes money-moving infrastructure. You will work with senior engineers and engineering managers to set direction and deliver reliably at scale.

You’ll partner with Security, Compliance and Product to build secure, auditable systems across blockchains, manage through complex challenges, and accelerate delivery without sacrificing

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 8+ years leading engineering teams, with experience managing managers.
• Experience building and scaling large, money-moving infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in architecture, reliability, and security for high-stakes systems.
• Strong technical credibility with senior engineers and ability to drive technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, roadmap and delivery for Assets & Issuance.
• Lead and grow the engineering team, including managers, to scale with the business.
• Drive incident management, on-call standards, and root-cause analysis to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Product, Security and Compliance to design secure, auditable systems.
