We are seeking a Director of Engineering & AI Platform to architect and build a new platform for Adheris, using agentic AI to deliver at a pace traditional development cycles cannot match. This role combines deep software, data, and cloud architecture expertise with hands-on development. The platform initiative sits deliberately separate from our core engineering function so that it can move quickly, although resources can be leveraged between the two as needed. This leader will own the software and cloud layers of the new platform and will additionally carry technical oversight of the existing core engineering team.

The ideal candidate brings a proven record as a hands-on technical leader who still architects and writes production code, paired with practical fluency in agentic AI development tooling and deep expertise architecting and running production workloads at scale on a major public cloud. Our current environment is Google Cloud Platform, so GCP expertise is strongly preferred; candidates with deep AWS or Azure architecture experience and the demonstrated ability to transfer it quickly are encouraged to apply. This individual will balance a dual mandate to build something new, expected to initially occupy roughly 70 percent of their time, with Experience within healthcare, healthcare technology, pharmacy, or other regulated environments, including HIPAA regulations and PHI management, is strongly preferred.
