SeatGeek seeks a Director of Engineering to lead the US Ticketing tech stack, guiding architecture, modernization, and operator-ready platforms. The role blends hands-on tech with leadership, shaping AI-native practices and working closely with product and design to align technical work with client needs.

The role emphasizes coaching Engineering Managers and senior staff while delivering reliable, scalable systems for major live events and venues worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multiple engineering teams and Engineering Managers in a complex software organization.
• Strong technical judgment and architectural depth to work credibly with senior engineers on difficult system decisions.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development and a strong point of view on how AI changes engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction across US Ticketing with architecture ownership and platform boundaries.
• Lead evolution of a mature, business-critical platform balancing client commitments with long-term reliability.
• Contribute technically when useful, through code, prototypes, or architecture reviews.
• Advance AI-native engineering by turning experiments into repeatable improvements.
• Partner with Product and Design leadership to shape strategy beyond simple roadmaps.
• Understand client needs and participate in key client, sales and implementation conversations.
• Lead and develop Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders.
