Job summary

nTop is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering organization behind the product platform, overseeing modeling, rendering, simulation, and distributed computing efforts. You will report to the CTO, manage multiple engineering managers, and drive a zero-to-one AI-enabled software development lifecycle across platform teams.

This is a newly created role at an inflection point, requiring strategic translation of vision into executable plans while keeping existing products shipping

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading engineering organizations with multiple teams.
• Proven track record accelerating an engineering org's planning, building, testing or shipping.
• Delivered a new product from zero to one while keeping existing products healthy.
• Hands-on AI-assisted development experience and a vision for affecting process, staffing, and quality.
• Technical depth to converse credibly with engineers in geometry, GPU computing, physics simulation, or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of the product platform roadmap and translate CTO direction into engineering plans with clear ownership.
• Lead and grow the engineering management team and build a leadership team with coaching and disciplined project management.
• Drive the shift to AI-assisted development across the platform organization and partner with AI/hardware vendors.
• Make the end-to-end engineering process faster from idea to shipped software and automate testing/validation.
• Deliver zero-to-one and one-to-n products while shipping current products and planning staffing accordingly.
• Partner with Product to align feasibility, sequencing, and risk.
• Represent platform engineering to CTO, R&D leadership, and the company.
