Job summary

Walmart, Inc. seeks a Director of Walmart Energy to lead regional energy strategies, reduce utility costs, and drive sustainability initiatives across operations.

You will integrate advanced technologies, coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, and align projects with Walmart’s integrity and efficiency goals. The role focuses on energy management, resilience, compliance with regulations, and workforce development, delivering measurable savings while supporting long-term business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field with 5 years' experience in utility operations or related area, or 7 years' experience in utility operations.
• 1 year's supervisory experience.
• Certified Energy Manager or PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive energy strategies to reduce utility expenses and enhance sustainability initiatives across the region.
• Lead energy saving programs by analyzing costs, forecasting savings, and preparing proposals to optimize return on investment.
• Oversee compliance with energy-related legislation and regulations, coordinating with legal and technical experts to represent company interests.
• Manage energy consumption data during facility planning and construction to ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Identify and secure energy credits, rebates, and incentives while monitoring utility rates and billing accuracy.
• Foster partnerships with internal teams and external agencies to support energy management goals and community engagement.
