Blue Origin seeks a strategic Director of Employee Relations to shape and lead a modern ER function. You will design the ER strategy, operate a two-tier team, and partner with Legal, Security, and HR to deliver defensible outcomes and trusted guidance.

The role requires a strong background in investigations, policy development, and AI-enabled HR practices. Responsibilities include shaping crisis response, driving data-informed decisions, and building a culture of fairness and integrity.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 10+ years in HR/Employee Relations
• 6+ years leading ER teams
• Expertise in workplace investigations
• Knowledge of federal and state employment law (NLRA)
• Labor relations exposure and cross-functional partnership

Responsabilidades

• Design and execute a multi-year ER strategy aligned to Blue Origin's mission, growth, and risk profile
• Build the ER operating model end to end: intake, triage, risk tiering, investigation protocols, case management, quality assurance, closure standards
• Establish service levels, KPIs, and dashboards for timeliness, quality, consistency, and outcomes
• Evaluate and implement ER case management tech, including AI with human oversight
• Champion AI adoption across the ER lifecycle, including investigation planning and documentation quality checks
• Lead, develop, and inspire a two-level ER team; define roles and coaching culture
• Build AI fluency to reduce admin work and enhance judgment
• Maintain objectivity, documentation quality, and empathy in interactions
• Oversee complex, sensitive investigations; ensure thorough, timely outcomes
• Develop crisis response protocols and ER involvement in high-stakes incidents
• Use data/AI insights to spot risks and guide prevention strategies
• Own ER policies, playbooks, manager toolkits including AI-guided guidance
• Deliver training to address performance and conduct issues fairly
• Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
