Gray AES seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering–MEP to lead strategic direction for electrical engineering across projects, including mentoring managers and guiding technical execution. This role will require PE licensure, 15+ years of experience, and strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, SKM Power Tools and ETAP.

Travel up to 25% is expected while supporting growth initiatives. Remote work options exist with Lexington, KY as a listed location, and collaboration with teams nationwide.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.
• PE license required.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, and other design software.
• Advanced proficiency with electrical design tools (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar).
• Strong business acumen with budgeting, proposal development and client engagement.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; travel up to 25%.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for the electrical engineering discipline, aligning team capabilities with business goals and market demands.
• Oversee the technical execution, quality assurance, and delivery of electrical engineering services across all project phases.
• Lead and mentor engineering managers, senior engineers, and design staff, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated design solutions across architectural, structural, mechanical, and automation teams.
• Drive process optimization, QA/QC standards, technology adoption, and documentation workflows; support business development with proposals and client presentations.
• Lead resource planning, hiring strategy, and succession planning for the electrical engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all activities.
• Other strategic duties as assigned.
