Job summary

Thor seeks a Remote Director of Electrical Engineering to lead large-scale building and campus designs for data center environments. You will serve as the primary liaison with architectural and engineering design partners and manage aggressive timelines while driving construction administration.

The role requires hands-on drafting/BIM proficiency (AutoCAD/Revit) and several years of data center experience. Travel as needed; remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Several years of data center design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit for drafting/BIM.

Job description

Remote Director, Electrical Engineering required by an established, global data center owner & operator. This role would suit a Senior Electrical Engineer with data center design experience, looking to step up in to a senior level role. This position is remote with some travel as required.

Compensation: $200k - $250k + 25% bonus. Opportunity for equity long term.

Overview:

• Own and lead multiple building and campus level designs

Experience

• Familiarity with other engineering functions (Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Structural etc)
• Hand on experience with drafting and spatial analysis software
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Several years of Data Center Design Experience
• Drafting and/or BIM capabilities in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience with an Engineering firm, data center owner or hyperscaler background
