Job summary

Leading Educators is seeking a Director of Implementation, Design, and Coaching – ELA to lead instructional transformation across seven schools in the San Mateo‑Foster City District. You will own the full lifecycle of ELA implementation and build capacity of school and district leaders to sustain literacy excellence.

This hybrid leadership role combines instructional coaching, professional learning design, and strategic client partnership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in education, instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, or district‑level instructional support.
• Experience leading complex implementation across multiple schools or at the district level.
• Proven ability to design high‑quality professional learning aligned to standards and measurable instructional outcomes.
• Direct coaching of school or district leaders and translating coaching into observable changes in practice.
• Experience serving as a primary client or partner relationship owner within a district or multi‑school context, maintaining accountability for outcomes.
• Experience managing and developing staff with responsibility for execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of ELA implementation across seven schools, from launch to measurable impact.
• Design and facilitate job-embedded professional learning cycles and learning walks.
• Build capacity of school and district leaders to sustain literacy instruction excellence.
• Partner with district leadership, surfacing opportunities and risks to inform strategic decisions.
• Coach principals through feedback conversations and translate data into actionable improvement actions.
• Travel regularly to school sites (weekly) within the San Mateo‑Foster City District, with national travel for organizational events.
