Job summary

Leading Educators is seeking a Director of Implementation, Design, and Coaching – ELA to lead instructional transformation across seven schools in the San Mateo–Foster City District. You will own the full lifecycle of ELA implementation—from launch through measurable impact—while building capacity among school and district leaders to sustain literacy excellence.

This hybrid leadership role combines instructional coaching, professional learning design, and strategic partnership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in education or district-level support.
• Experience leading complex implementation across multiple schools or districts.
• Proven track record designing high-quality professional learning aligned to standards.
• Direct coaching of school or district leaders resulting in observable practice changes.
• Experience managing client relationships within a district or multi-school context.
• Willingness to travel weekly within Northern California

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of ELA implementation—from launch to measurable impact.
• Build capacity of school and district leaders to sustain literacy excellence.
• Design and facilitate job-embedded professional learning cycles.
• Conduct learning walks and debrief with precision for actionable insights.
• Partner with district leadership to shape the partnership and strategy.
• Translate data into actionable insights for leaders and teams.
